Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, BJJ, is a variant of the well-known self-defensive martial arts known as Jiu-Jitsu. This martial art foreshadows both aikido and judo art form in one.

Jiu-Jitsu originated in Japan. It relies on grappling and close proximity body contact tactics involving various throws to strangle-type holds. Eventually, taking your opponent to the ground to fight there. Jiu-jitsu uses your attacker’s momentum to perform joint locks and restrain the opponent on the ground.

Similarly, in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), the basics of Jiu-Jitsu are prominent. You try to use different choke-hold techniques to bring your partner into submission.
